Ultima
You can turn off file sharing by not using BitTorrent, or any other P2P application for that matter.
aburt408
Why is that? I am new to this. I just got uTorrent today. I was reading the blurb about protecting yourself from being sued and it suggested turning off file sharing. Judging from your response this is frowned upon? Ultima
Yes, it is. P2P is peer-to-peer, which means you share and obtain data simultaneously with other peers. Other peers share their bandwidth with you, and it'd be rude not to share back. If you're new to it all, check the second link in my signature for an introduction.
