harman
I have downloaded 25% of a 45GB torrent, and it now says Error:. I have not done anything that I wouldn't usually do. I haven't moved the files or anything. The only thing I can think of is that my computer plug fell out of the socket the other day and obviously shut the computer down in mid use, it was soon after this event that I got the error message for my torrent. I have done the 'force re-check', its gets to 100% checked then continues to display the error message.Someone please help with some ideas that I could try, as it is not a very well seeded torrent so I dont want to lose the 12GB I have already downloaded. Thanks alot
µtorrent-Guest
try the following:remove the torrent file (only the torrent file, not the data!!) from µTthen load the torrent again in µT (CTRL+D) and do fhen the force recheck. It should not move to 100%, but only as far as you downloaded already.
harman
I have already tried that and it didn't work unfortunately, but thanks.Any more ideas?
Ultima
Are you sure it just says "Error:"...? It only shows that if the error was there on previous exit of µTorrent... Meaning there has to be a more descriptive error than just that.
harman
Yes the first time it said "data error:", then after I had removed the torrent and reloaded it, and clicked force re-check it just said "error:". However now I have removed the torrent from uTorrent and reloaded it 6 times, the 6th time the torrent started working again, so I really have no idea how it fixed itself, or rather what the problem was, but at least it is going now. Thanks for the help though. Ultima
...? Odd... The status column was wide enough for you to see the entire length of the error message, right?
harman
Yes it was wide enough
Ultima
Meh, I've no clue what the problem could've been then... Oh well, as long as it's fixed ;\
