vee-media
Hi everyone! I have recently started seeding much more than I used too and have noticed a dramatic increase in speed when I download torrents. Do trackers automatically register your IP, monitor it and if you are uploading lots - they give you the loyalty of sending you decent seeders? I am getting very good 200KB/s - 250KB/s downloads?!Regards,AJ.
Ultima
Nope, trackers can't directly affect transfer speeds. It's just how the protocol works -- the more you upload, the more other peers will be willing to reciprocate your generosity by uploading back to you, meaning you possibly get better speeds. vee-media
So the program sends the ratio's to other users to determine how much they should seed me?
Ultima
No... Again, it's just how the protocol works. If another peer sees that you're uploading to him, then he will be more likely to upload to you -- that's all.
