medverd
I love Utorrent client. The only problem is that I have a bandwith usage limit and last month I exceeded it by 2GB(which cost me 20$)Is there a way to limit my upload speed without diminishing my download speed? Simon
No, as bittorrent works on a credit system.
dcorban
As long as you configure your client so each upload slot gets at least 2KB/s of bandwidth, you should be fine. This is the recommend minimum to keep from being snubbed.
Firon
Get a new ISP, or don't torrent so much. Bandwidth caps aren't an excuse to be a leech.
medverd
Get a new ISP, or don't torrent so much. Bandwidth caps aren't an excuse to be a leech.I didn't torrent "so much" i just left 2 movies download for the night...And I don't want to be a leech... I just want my upload speed to be lower than 200Kb/s
k3rr
well you can set a limit on ur upload speed in utorrent and i do not think it should affect your download speed, atleast in my experiences.I have found that if i do not limit my upload speed to about 30kb/s (on my connection) I cannot get my maximum download speed. anyone else have this problem? Firon
You upload at 200 KB/s? Well.. you could always use the seeding options to make torrents stop seeding after a specific ratio.Set the seeding goal to say, 100%, write 0 in the Limit the upload rate to box and check it. You could probably limit your upload to lower than 200 KiB/s without adversely affecting your speeds
medverd
ok thanks alot. i found a way to limit it to 100KB/s by unprioritizing all torrents
UTorrentUser
You can cap your Upload to, probly, around 100 or so and still be fine as that is higher then most people download
