Port Forwarding Issue

When i run the port forwarding test, the following error displays.

Welcome to the µTorrent Port Checker.

A test will be performed on your computer to check if the specified port is opened.

Checking port 20799 on 60.227.62.231...

Error! Port 20799 does not appear to be open.

Please see www.portforward.com for more information about how to map a port.

Please make absolutely sure that PeerGuardian2 or Protowall is allowing utorrent.com (72.20.34.145) in either of those programs. Those of you using ipfilter.dat should make sure the list does not include the website's IP. After making sure of this, re-run this test by refreshing the page (F5).

I have checked all my settings on my router and I have forwarded the correct port 20799 with the correct ip address and I still get this error. My Windows Firewall is switched off and the only other thing that's runnin is Norton Antivirus.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Norton Antivirus probably includes "worm protection" or "spyware blocker" which is actually a lightweight software firewall that needs to be configured as well or disabled.

Also, your modem itself may have a router and/or firewall in it that needs to be configured.
