vincentfeitsma
I had a lot of trouble lately getting Utorrent to work. Forwarded ports properly in my Zyxel 2602H-61Cv3.40 and in ZLabs, but nothing seemed to work. Tried the bridge mode, although I use NO extra router (as my modem is a router already) but still to no avail. So I got here. Where I read al the stuff about Brigde mode and the port forwarding yabbayabba. Still nothing worked. So I went to the Zyxel site in a sleigh of mind. And there I wrote something that I will never forget: FORWARDING THE PORT IN THE ROUTER/MODEM IS NOT ENOUGH!! THE SPECIFIED PORTS (in this case the TCP/UDP ports from utorrent) MUST ALSO BEEN GRANTED ACCES IN THE INTERNAL FIREWALL OF YOUR ZYXEL!!! (BIG, HUGE !!!!!!!)The Zyxel site gave me a guide how to do this (it suggests adding a rule to the firewall with a customized service for the torrent program) and...VOILA!!!! My only question is: why didn't I read this on the forums here??? Is you's forgetting this??
Switeck
Most of us don't have that brand of router. So our knowledge is generally about Linksys, D-Link, and Belkin routers.
