didgydom Posted January 12, 2007 Report Posted January 12, 2007 i have been using bit torrents for 4 yrs and have had no problems until now.i recently had to upgrade from xp pro (copy) to xp pro sp2 (copy) downloaded from torrentspy.this was due to driver crash then when i repaired with my old copy i was infested with worms bout 3x i tried everything inc updating what they would let me etc. anyway since i upgraded to sp2 i cannot get any torrents to download/upload over 6kb.i get many peers/seeds available i get green tick and it says my port is open when i check it although log says unable to map upnp port.i dont get any dht nodes though although it says i am logged in sometimes.windows firewall is off and my bullguard firewall is allowing all utorrent traffic.i am using the same dsl modem, bullguard firewall and isp as before which all worked really well.i have tried formatting and rebooting sp2 again without anyother programs on my pc except bullguard and after 3 days at my pc i am close to cracking.can any1 please help me????dom
Switeck Posted January 12, 2007 Report Posted January 12, 2007 Try Ultima's Slow Speed FAQ.You'll probably need to disable UPnP and DHT in µTorrent.Enable Peer Exchange if you haven't already to make up for those losses.
