M1947M Posted January 12, 2007 Report Posted January 12, 2007 I keep seeing the message "u torrent has crashed, and u torrent will now restart." It does this over and over. The error message also says "A Crash Dump has bee saved as:...Do you want to submit this Dump to the developers? Yes No Cancel" It doesn't seem to matter which option I select, u torrent keeps crashing over and over until it eventually becomes stable again. Also, I had a bad time with a firewall blocking all torrent downloads the other day. I had to remove that firewall (I already have at least one!) before I could continue. It's a long story but during that mess I lost some huge files partially downloaded. They're GONE.
M1947M Posted January 12, 2007 Author Report Posted January 12, 2007 I should mention, I am using the newest u torrent - 1.6
Switeck Posted January 12, 2007 Report Posted January 12, 2007 Can you post a list of all the programs running in the background on your computer?(use Process Explorer from www.sysinternals.com)
M1947M Posted January 13, 2007 Author Report Posted January 13, 2007 Hmmmm. Besides the AT&T Yahoo package of Online Protection, I think usually the only thing I am active on is Mozilla Firefox. I had a thing called "System Mechanic" which has four parts in the "professional" version. I deleted the anti-virus and firewall from that things because they do not play well with the rest of the computer. The System Mechanic 7 Professional anti-virus and firewall are especially nasty with u torrent. That firewall prevents virtually everything from working right. I had to kill it just to make my computer run at all.
