I just finished downloading a huge 6 gig file and it took me like 2 days. Once I let it seed for a while I decided to clear it to make room for another download. But i accidently removed & deleted the torrent. (totally erased)!! OMG is there i way i can get it back? PLLLLEASE!! tell me I can get my files back. I didnt shut down windows or close uTorrent. There HAS to be a way.

Please help anyone?

Why did you need to clear it to make room for another download...? You can leave all your entire history of downloads in uTorrent safely and neatly, ready to restart seeding any time you see the peer count get low...

Yes, you can actually. There are programs out there to undelete data. Such as Runtime Getdataback which is probably one of the best IMO.

I'm sure if you google search hard drive data recovery tools you'll find something. Most are only trials and you won't actually get to recover any data unless you get the full version. Have a look at this data recovery page it might be of help: http://shsc.info/DataRecovery

Also, the more and more you are downloading, even just browsing on the internet, the less chance there is for you to recover 100% of the file. Everything you do overwrites free space on your drive, and that free space could possibly be your '6 GB download'.

So I would keep activity on that PC to a bare minimum if you want the data back. But my question for you is why did you remove the download? What do you mean you needed to clear space? I'm assuming you're using utorrent here.

Edit: beaten by about 7 mins

I downloaded a trial program called SmartUndelete, and it came up with nothing [cheap piece of crap]. I deleted it cause i figured it was just taking up room, had alot on uTorrent and my internet is being sooo retarted lately, disconnecting and whatnot. Sooo i made the mistake of deleting my stuff that was seeding ... and didn't realize i just deleted the file i needed [slaps myself]. Well thanks for the pointers... and the link.
