Kizo Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 Hi.I have a little problem.I recently moved, and the internet I have now is part of a big LAN and we get internet via the university, so I can't forward ports at all. At first, it all worked excellent, but since yesterday I can't get any connection.µTorrent says "No incoming connections" all of a sudden (since I moved, I've had the red light, but I could still download and upload at great speed). If I do the test, my port isn't forwarded. And as mentioned, I can't change that fact, but I mean, it worked earlier.Any idea what the problem might be?Thanks.
Switeck Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 Universities tend to block BitTorrent traffic, just to preserve their limited internet bandwidth.(They may have a LOT, but it's split so many ways!)The new year may have brought about new changes to meet new laws concerning ISPs snooping on customers and self-reporting any possible copyright violations.
Kizo Posted January 18, 2007 Author Report Posted January 18, 2007 I know that is not the case this time. A lot of people use torrents without any problems what so ever, so I'm GUESSING it's some problem for me and not the net.
Switeck Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 Are there people in the same building as you able to use torrent clients on their computer/s?
