cface Posted January 19, 2007 Report Share Posted January 19, 2007 Hi, iv been using uTorrent for quite some time, but now it seems im getting an issue that is unknown to me. for some reason i get a issue in witch uTorrent says that ports are not forwarded properly. iv gone to both of my firewalls and added this port, but noting. iv gone to portforwarding.com and did all the things its asked of me. iv even downloaded the program they have and it did ant help at all. i also read the FAQ on the site found noting of help. so maybe somone can help me here? i really need help its taking 3hrs to do a 3min download, and thats not fun.-wireless router NetGear wgr614 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

No i did not. even tho i did everything as they said i was unable to log on to the internet.2. why would i even want a static IP?3. The static Ip is not the issue here. mianly since all the computer in my home are using static IP and are able to use uTorrent without any issue.The only computer having this issue is my labtop witch i mostly use. it never used to have this isssue before i reformatted it. so i would like to know just what is going on so i can fix it. it is extreamly annoying when im trying to do my daily ruttine and what used to take mins takes hours. Port forwarding without setting up a static IP is like shooting at a moving target using a gun that has a fixed aim and fixed position. If the target moves, guess what? The gun's going to miss.If you really did set your other computers to have static IPs, but not this one laptop, and this is the one computer that µTorrent does not run properly on, what's the logical conclusion here?If you have static IPs set up on the other computers, then just follow the other computers' configurations (albeit with an IP change). cface Posted January 20, 2007 Author Report Share Posted January 20, 2007 how dose this help me?It was working just fine before and iv been using uTorrent for almost a year.also i cant set up the static ip. i did as the guide told me to do so, but i was unable to log on to the internet. so i was unable to finish the last few steps.also i would like to add that not always dose it show the red icon at the bottom.some times i get a green conection and everything is fine. but then i get the yellow crap and even worst the red one! i would like to know why is this happening to me! dose it have to do with my router? or my computer? or many even the softwear.all i know is that i cant setup the static ip, and why would it have to do with that?it just makes no sence to me.
