Switeck Posted January 20, 2007 Report Share Posted January 20, 2007 Are you confusing bandwidth speeds in kilobits/sec (often abbreviated kbps) with file transfer speeds in kiloBYTES/sec (often abbrivated KB/sec)? There's a magnitude of difference there, as 1 kiloBYTE/sec file transfer speed may take 10 kilobits/sec of bandwidth.Also, for configuration purposes, you need to know your connection's useable upload bandwidth.µTorrent's Speed Guide (CTRL+G) bases its settings on your upload speed rather than your download speed, because it's almost always the biggest limiting factor.
