silesiaster
HiI've make a test of utorrent: and with azuerus I'm always connectable but with utorrent with the same port which is clever in azureus(ofcourse I closed azureus before use that port on utorrent) on utorrent in options -> speed guide I run "test if port is forwarded properly" (I disable for the test peerguardian and IMON from NOD32) and it says: "Error! Port XXXXX does not appear to be open. Please see www.portforward.com for more information about how to map a port. Please make absolutely sure that PeerGuardian2 or Protowall is allowing utorrent.com (72.20.34.145) in either of those programs. Those of you using ipfilter.dat should make sure the list does not include the website's IP. After making sure of this, re-run this test by refreshing the page (F5). "Anyone have got the same as I? How to do it to make it work properly?Under "Connection" are the first 3 checkboxes all unticked, I try different ports and all the same.I've got this: img The yellow light means that you have no current incoming connections. If this never turns green, this means that your port is not forwarded. The best way to check is with the µTorrent port checker, found in the Speed Guide. If the port checker says your port is open, then everything is most likely fine.but when I change to azureus this port is okanyone know how to help me?PS: I use win 2003 server
Ultima
Did you forward your port manually?
silesiaster
yes
Ultima
Then you probably didn't forward it properly -- Azureus probably worked because it has a more compatible UPnP implementation. Do tell us what router, modem, and firewall you're using.
silesiaster
I think problem is in utorrent becuase other p2p programs works well active on the same ports, and only when I use utorrent it says non-active. D-Link DI-604 is my router I don't use software firewall besides NOD32 - but disable IMON.

Ultima
You couldn't possibly be using the internet without a modem. Now what is connected between your D-Link (router) and the wall?

stanjr
I get the same error when trying to test port forwarding:Error! After making sure of this, re-run this test by refreshing the page (F5).What's strange is that when you check the P2P list in PeerGuardian there is a range of IPs for "ABSwiftic" that start at 72.20.34.144 and goes up to ... (I can't remember) and the address that is given in the error message (72.20.34.145) is within that range. I don't know what that's about, but I still can't get the test to run properly even with PeerGuardian disabled. Why would utorrent.com be in the PeerGuardian list at all? Switeck
The maker of µTorrent sold some other software to a company that used to be associated with the file-sharing monitoring companies. Peer Guardian's blocklist makers decided that meant that µTorrent's website and internet ip range was now "hostile" and decided to block it. stanjr
Does that mean that if Peer Guardian is running in the background and the utorrent.com ip is blocked that the "test port forward" will always come back with an error? If so, is there a way to edit out the utorrent.com ip from the block list? Would that even be necessary?
Ultima
Disable HTTP connection blocking in PG2, or add utorrent.com's IP to the PG2 exceptions.
