Switeck
Did you even find advanced options? If so, it's the 6th item down that list. However such settings can overload all but the MOST powerful internet connections (like T-3 lines with 45 megabits/sec up and down). You need to patch window's limit first and make sure µTorrent is set at 80% of that amount at most. noxhedz
Thanks as always Switeck! Is the net.max an option after a patch is installed or is it part of the utorrent program? under the advanced tab i see two options........Disk Cache and User Interface. I appreciate any light you can shed for me here.
Ultima
Click on the advanced section. See that list of funky-looking stuff on the right-hand side of the Preferences dialog? Look for net.max_halfopen.Either way, you should NOT be following whatever guide you're reading -- 50-100 for a net.max_halfopen limit is excessive for most people. Additionally, I have this funny feeling the guide doesn't mention that you should patch your TCPIP.sys file -- and if it did, forgot to mention that you should only set the net.max_halfopen limit to 80% of the TCPIP.sys limit (I have a creeping feeling that I know which guide you're reading, and I don't really like it).
