ian45x
I have 6 meg broadband. Bt tells me that due to the distance from the exchange, I will only get around 6 meg.The highest speed I can attain on a download is 17 kB/s. maximumupload is set for 186 kB/s.Whwn I performed the spped test the results were: upload- 41Kb/s. upload- 208kB/s.Another daft question....is there a difference between kB/s and Kb/s?Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ultima
1kB = 8KbAnd your numbers look confused. Post exactly what the speed test shows you.
Switeck
Your upload speed is only a tiny fraction of your download speed with that connection.Run Speed Guide, do the speed tests, and then choose the speed setting roughly the same speed as your UPLOAD speed results. Switeck
You need to run these speed tests again after resetting both your computer AND modem+router, making sure no other internet-using program is in use. And also with every torrent in µTorrent paused or stopped -- as well as having DHT disabled.I'm thinking something else is interfering with the tests, resulting in much lower speeds than what you're supposed to be getting.
