Zimma0320
I've been using uTorrent for a while now and usually encounter speeds that go no higher than 30kb/s, so I checked my status line to find that I had the red light. Apparently my port is not open. I've read through guides both here and on portforward.com, however I have not solved this problem. My computer is hooked up to a network with another computer, via the Linksys NR041 router, and the internet modem is a Cisco 677. I've found that the Linksys router is not on the list of routers for portforward.com, and I am unable to finish the instructions for the Cisco 677. I get as far as the "Type telnet 10.0.0.1, and then press the enter key on your keyboard." direction, however I am unable to connect. Any suggestions? Switeck
If you cannot configure your router and UPnP in µTorrent does not work, then you're stuck firewalled.
Zimma0320
why would that be? the only firewall i have is windows and that's turned off...i'm just screwed?
Switeck
Because the router you cannot configure firewalls you.Being firewalled is not something µTorrent does, but rather something done TO µTorrent.
Zimma0320
So is there a reason I'm stuck at the "telnet" part of the port forwarding guide? That's what I'm really asking...or has no one ever had a problem with that before.
