punkrockisfreedom Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 basically, i've had utorrent f or a while now and everythings always been fine until last night when i put a torrent on to download and it still hasn't got past 0.1%so wondering if it was just this particular torrent i tried some other ones, none of which are downloading at allalso, whenever i close utorrent and reopen it it tells me that utorrent is still open but not responding... just wondering if that has anyhting to do with it. any help at all would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
µtorrent-Guest Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 close µT, wait at least 30 seconds, check the taskmanager for still running µt process, kill it if necessary, wait at least 30 more seconds, try to restart.background is: µT handles some stuff in the seconds after you close it (reporting to trackers your ratio for example so that nothing gets lost) and when you restart it to fast you can get such errors like those you report.
punkrockisfreedom Posted January 24, 2007 Author Report Posted January 24, 2007 its just not helping, it just wont download... there are a couple thousand seeders and leechers but it says 0 are there and its just inactive, and whatever i try its always like that...
µtorrent-Guest Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 you read the setup guides?how do the testtorrents work?
punkrockisfreedom Posted January 25, 2007 Author Report Posted January 25, 2007 well... its all been working fine for me for ages, just suddenly nothing at all will download. can't be a connection problem, i can seed things fine...
thechopster Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 HiAre you Firewalled check the icon along the bottom is Green & not red or yellow, if so somethings blocking you maybe your router needs reconfigured
Nosforit Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 I was having the same problem, but the restart thing did work. It took some time however before uTorrent would disappear from the Taskmanager. I did not have to manually kill it.
