satguy80
When I download a file it puts it in a specific directory that ive chosen, and when its done it has been seeding. My question is if I move said file will it continue to seed or do i have to specify where the file was moved, and if so how? Thank you in advance
Bill
If you move it with windows explorer, utorrent will no longer know where this file is and it will not be able seed it. I believe utorrent does have an option to move completed files to a specified directory, don't know if this helps you or even if it continues to seed from where it has been moved to (I am guessing it would) as I have never used this feature. Ultima
If you move it on your own without "informing" µTorrent, it will throw an error at your face if/when the torrent is started. So if you plan on moving files, stop the torrent, move it, right click the torrent, advanced, set download location, then start.
satguy80
I do appreciate the help Billl and Ultima, but does that include after it is complete? Do i still follow the steps you gave ultima? Thank you again
Lord Alderaan
If you have set a different folder to move torrents to on completion it will move it there as soon as it is downloaded and continue seeding it.
Ultima
@satguy80: Yes, any type of manual movement requires those steps.
