xipax Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 i using dsl line but internet connection become not stable recently after i start using the latest patch 1.1.7 causing disconnect. why? this problem also by friends, when i let them test utorrent. can anybody explain what causing this? and any solution to this problem.
Keloran Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 it could be your isp, mine doenst let me use full bandwidth for 4h+ so i have to limit both up/down to 80%
davidhgc Posted November 5, 2005 Report Posted November 5, 2005 I have had a similar problem, were the download/upload speed has been bouncing up and down then the connection to the internet seems to drop. I can no longer surf the web. Once I stop utorrent the connection recovers after a short while. previously utorrent worked fine and I had full speed download.
chaosblade Posted November 5, 2005 Report Posted November 5, 2005 Make sure you're not using too much upload - cap it to around %80.Try playing with the peer.slow_connect option, turned on it might help with connections not overkilling your connection.
Firon Posted November 5, 2005 Report Posted November 5, 2005 1.1.8RC1 lets you pick the number of connection attempts, it defaults to 8. (like Azureus)should help this problem when it's released
bm069au Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 I get the same problem. The torrents work but cant get a WWW connection even though up and down speeds are minimal. I have to reboot the router to fix this problem. Im running in the DMZ !

Try tweaking your global maximum number of connections, start with something really low and work your way up.
