Phunkdawg
Very new to utorrent and I am having touble understanding if I have a port forwarded. I have a cable modem from cox cable, now this is going to sound retarded but is a modem considered a router or to contain a router. If so how would I set up a port to forward because my modem is not offered in the list on the port forward web site. Nor do i have any idea where to find my modems username/password to add it the list on Port Forward. I am able to download and upload but in my opinion at very slow rates DL@25-35kb/sec and the same for the upload. It gives me the yellow symbol at the bottom of the page.Any help or knowledge on the subject will be most greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. xenogears
If your utorrent shows a green check in the staus bar then you don't need to forward a port since it is already. I use a cable modem and don't need to port forward unless I use a software firewall. You configure your firewall to open the port instead.
