Saries
I'm using utorrent and something weird keeps happening.. in queueing I set 6 maximum active ul/dl and 5 maximum active dl but after every few hours or less, almost all the torrents in queue seem to start downloading, and this makes it hard for the torrents at the top to dl properly as everything slows to a crawl.Bug? note - I've just used utorrent for about a week, this prob never happened for the first three days but is happening again and again now even though I exited and restarted the program a few times to try to stop it. DreadWingKnight
How many of these torrents are not downloading at all or are downloading at an extremely low speed?Have you tried setting lower queue numbers (since those high numbers are a more likely contributor to your problem on your connection)
Saries
Alright, I'll set it to 5/4 and see what happens. Is it possible that when the main torrents on top of the queue have low speeds, utorrent will automatically keep starting other torrents below? I thought the queueing section's pupose is to limit this.
DreadWingKnight
5/4 is also too high. Most residential connections require as low as 2/1 or 1/1 to operate properly.Running as many torrents as you do, I'm not surprised that the torrents you do have run slow. Switeck
There is advanced settings for queue that should fix this problem. Set them to false.
