Sloshua Posted November 3, 2005 Report Share Posted November 3, 2005 I was playing around and tried to connect to my PC at home over my browser, and this popped up:I used the following when trying to connect - http://ipaddress:utorrentportI checked all the settings/options but couldn't find any settings related to this or anything that included a password. I tried my password that is on the PC, but nothing worked.I am using 1.1.7.2 (if that matters).Anyone have any info on this? silverfire Posted November 3, 2005 Report Share Posted November 3, 2005 µTorrent itself is a tracker that tracks all the torrents that are currently active. If you wanted to create a brand new torrent to track off of your own computer, all you would need to do would be to set the announce URL to http://yourIPAddress:listenPort/announce and then create the torrent accordingly. If my IP address were 1.2.3.4 with my listening port being 56789, my announce URL would be http://1.2.3.4:56789/announce Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
