david999 Posted February 2, 2007 Report Share Posted February 2, 2007 I have had a lot of announcing too fast errors and someone suggested I try this fix under the max half open settings advanced reduce your number to 6 or 4 I tried this and for about 5 days now no errors I don't get how this could work but it seems to for me', if you are having the same errors ruining your stats give it a try it might work for you to. That slowing down your connection attempts rate helps only makes it seem like the tracker's mixing announces up between torrents if they're frequent enough... david999 Posted March 10, 2007 Author Report Share Posted March 10, 2007 sorry to announce this worked for awhile, I don't get as many errors now but I still get some I think its mainly on torrents with large swarms and trackers with the anti-hammering script installed. It's possible that such a box is so overloaded that it loses time. So when your µTorrent thinks 30 minutes has passed and attempts to contact the tracker again, the tracker thinks only 25-29.9 minutes have passed and inflicts the anti-hammering measures on your µTorrent for contacting it more often than once every 30 minutes!
