Dazeddame37
I'VE ALREADY READ THE "INTERNET INTERRUPTIONS AND SPEED ISSUES" POST @ http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15992 w/ that being said basically the arrow thingie is red and the status of the tracker reads "offline (timed out). It just happened out of nowhere. The thing is that it does that for one tracker, which is the main tracker i use. Any other trackers does not have that issue. It probably is a tracker issue, but the moderators from the site that is responsible for tracker (that i'm having problems with) confirmed that there is nothing wrong with their tracker and if there was a problem alot of users would've reported (which didn't happened). I was suggested to go to the utorrent forum to find some useful info to help me (as they said with the extent of their knowledge they couldn't help me any further) but nothing helped after looking through the form. so here i am posting as my last resort. I just want to thoroughly confirm whether the problem may be something else before i definitely conclude that it is a tracker issue.heres my info: - What I've tried: redownloading the torrent, restarting utorrent (a billion times), restarting the computer (a billion times), restarting my modem, uninstalling utorrent, checking my port fowarding, checking my firewall, disabling DHT, disabling UPnP, lowering the maximum global number of connections, lowering net.max_halfopen to 4, Patched TCPIP.sys and restarted the computer after, connecting my comp directly to modem, disabling any programs running in the background that might've intefered with the connection, correcting my upload speed settings, unstalling my security software to try it out. - my network status light is green. - Using Windows XP - My security software is AVG. - list of running processes:Process PID CPU Description Company NameSystem Idle Process 0 95.10 Interrupts n/a Hardware Interrupts DPCs n/a 0.98 Deferred Procedure Calls System 4 smss.exe 496 Windows NT Session Manager Microsoft Corporation csrss.exe 604 Client Server Runtime Process Microsoft Corporation winlogon.exe 652 Windows NT Logon Application Microsoft Corporation services.exe 712 1.96 Services and Controller app Microsoft Corporation svchost.exe 928 Generic Host Process for Win32 Services Microsoft Corporation svchost.exe 1016 Generic Host Process for Win32 Services Microsoft Corporation svchost.exe 1164 Generic Host Process for Win32 Services Microsoft Corporation svchost.exe 1244 Generic Host Process for Win32 Services Microsoft Corporation svchost.exe 1340 Generic Host Process for Win32 Services Microsoft Corporation spoolsv.exe 1732 Spooler SubSystem App Microsoft Corporation AluSchedulerSvc.exe 1964 Automatic LiveUpdate Scheduler Service Symantec Corporation alg.exe 1040 Application Layer Gateway Service Microsoft Corporation lsass.exe 724 LSA Shell (Export Version) Microsoft Corporationexplorer.exe 1220 Windows Explorer Microsoft Corporation ctfmon.exe 804 CTF Loader Microsoft Corporation utorrent.exe 1372- router model: Westell versalink 327W- modem model: Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC- ISP is Verizon and I'm using DSL- on an average, after several speed tests i had approximately 2000 kbps for dl and 700 kbps for ul.- i can't describe my basic computer hardware since somebody i knew else had built it for me years ago using parts from different companies. don't think it's important since my computer is fine (or so i think)i appreciate the help. thanx. Ultima
Yah... almost definitely sounds like a tracker issue, but just to be sure... Have you tried uninstalling AVG temporarily to test?

Ultima
Then that's just about the final confirmation -- it probably is a tracker issue =\
µtorrent-Guest
maybe you are running way to many torrents at once. thats why their tracker refuses to get in touch with you!

Dazeddame37
I think my problem lies within my computer. I just tried downloading from the same tracker using the same internet connection on a different computer and it worked. does anybody know what the exactly the problem could be? I tried it on a mac (as a opposed to a windows).
Ultima
Hidden malware is the only possibility I can think of if you strongly suspect your computer, as I see no other indication of anything being wrong with your configuration, or any of the (visible) processes.
