ultras
Hi!I'm using a dynamic ip, and i thought it would be an advantage compared to static ip's...Now for me to get a proper connection (keep gettin yellow icons and problems in opening ports) i have to forward a port and have a static ip!! Am i wrong or wouldn't it be preferred to make downloads with dynamic ip's (more hidden, more protected)...Am i mistaken??
DreadWingKnight
You need a static IP behind a router in order to port forward.Dynamic IPs behind a router don't make things any more hidden or protected.
ultras
but will all my downloads from now on enter through that door, or only those of utorrent??
DreadWingKnight
Forwarded ports only affect connections in one direction, and if there's no program listening on that port the door is closed anyway.
