cpthk
Question of uTorrent takes lots of memory?Long time ago, uTorrent only takes around3~6 MB of memory. And it is also a main point of how uTorrent advertised this program. But these days, I realize uTorrent takes around 25~30 MB of memory. Why is it hapenning? Is it because any of my settings? Thanks. Switeck
What's your µTorrent's ram cache set to?Typically, that defaults to 32 MB...where most of your ram useage is no doubt.
cpthk
I have every thing is default settings. So do you mean if I have default 32 MB cache, so uTorrent will use approximately 32 MB?But why long times ago, the 1.5 version didn't use this big? Switeck
v1.6 more aggressively uses its ram cache.
Ultima
Which is a good thing, especially for users with faster connections. It does reduce reads and writes from and to hard disk nicely, so IMHO, a bit more memory is a small price to pay for the massive benefits.
