Selective Peer and Seed Connections

Hrm then wtf did my friend do to bit tornado... She is a friggin genious when it comes to programming some how she figure out how she has selective connections so she only connects to 10 seeds at most and peers with less than 30%. heh...

You are missing the point.

What is wrong about the way the protocol behaves now and why is your method an improvement? What are you and your friend trying to accomplish? I'm sure there are a dozen ways to hack a bittorrent client to achieve better performance. But how does that affect others? Take a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareto_efficient, if your idea is a pareto optimization then take it up to Brahm Cohen.

well she just said it was faster. She has retired coding because she wants to do something else. It has to do something with when seeding some clients restrict speeds so she selects lower % clients so she is connected longer and also has a better upload speed with them because they need more parts. though this theory only works well when there are 100+ seeders and leechers. because below 100 you connect to almost all of them anyway.
