Ultima
Let me guess... "connection closed by peer" error for tracker status? Rogers is probably blocking tracker connections.

Ultima
(Moderators can see IP addresses)As far as I can tell, the only way to get around it is to switch ISPs.

Ultima
Because they've recently made their policy stricter, and are clamping down even harder on BitTorrent (or maybe just P2P in general?). Why? Cut back on bandwidth costs, maybe...
GeddoBlaster
the hell... I'm paying for the service so I should be able to do what I wish...
Ultima
That's not the way they see it, and that's probably not how the service was described in the TOS that you agreed to anyway.
GeddoBlaster
-sigh- probably... that still is a big ripoff, cyber cafe's probably use up more bandwidth that I do, how do they stay in business?so the only alternative is switching ISP's? do you have any suggestions? GeddoBlaster
well I called Rogers and they said they weren't throttling or capping me... so I don't understand the problem...
Ultima
Well then the person probably has no clue what he's talking about, or is under company policy to say nothing. I'd like them to come and tell everyone on these forums who are experiencing issues not unlike throttling that they're not throttling.
GeddoBlaster
well, he suggested VPN tunneling and I'm like... thats not against company policy? and he said nope so I said okay, if YOU say it's okay then I guess I can't go wrong.and now I'm back to normal =)
