ptne3
I am not the most tech-savvy guy, right off the bat. I had been using utorrent successfully for quite some time. Today, it just wouldn't work. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and got a message that the Utorrent.exe wouldn't open. I deleted everything, and downloaded the standalone program. That downloaded successfully, but when I try to open it the hourglass shows up for a bit, and then nothing. If I click it again after that, I get the Utorrent message "It seems like uTorrent is already running, but not responding. Please close all uTorrent processes and try again." I've tried restarting, but the exact same thing happens every time. Very frustrating. I've tried some of the solutions I found for similar problems, but still can't get it to work. Please help. Ultima
Get Process Explorer from sysinternals.com, run it, File > Save, then post the contents of the saved process list in the .txt file here.

Ultima
Jeez these issues are getting odder and odder day by day... I don't really see anything that's been known to cause these types of issues... The only thing I'm suspicious of is the Symantec product(s), but first...What exactly did you mean when you said you "uninstalled" µTorrent? Did you delete the settings files from %appdata%\uTorrent? If you did try that already, then try uninstalling the Symantec product from your computer.
