freerick
Hey, I haven't ever created my own torrents, but I gave it a try tonight. I used utorrent to create the .torrent file with trackers and uploaded it to a couple of torrent sites, and the sites correctly list the torrents in their directories. Even after an hour, however, they are all still showing "0" as the number of seeders, but I tried downloading the torrent with another computer and that does work. The torrents I created are set properly to initial-seeding status, ipfilter is off and I'm not being blocked by any firewall, anti-virus software, or other hardware or software.Things appear to be working fine, but I can't get the tracker sites to show at least 1 seeder (me). Why??? It's driving me insane, lol!
Ultima
Did you redownload the .torrent file from the tracker?
freerick
yeah, I tried that, that didn't work at all, the torrent is just stuck at "Downloading..."
µtorrent-Guest
"The torrents I created are set properly to initial-seeding status,"if i understand it correctly, in initial seeding mode you pretend not to have all the pieces. Maybe thats why the tracker GUI page don't show you as a seeder?!and are there any people wanting your content at all?Edit: "the torrent is just stuck at "Downloading...""but the torrent shows in your µt general tab as 100% complete and seeding, did it?If not, you might not seed the content, you created the torrent from, at all. Ultima
@freerick: Are you pointing µTorrent to the correct location of the files on disk...?
