stiggy_piggy
Hi there, Im extremely new to Utorrent but have used other clients before. So please forgive my lack of knowledge.I downloaded and installed Utorrent 1.6 yesterday and it worked wonderfully after i had messed with the whole port forwarding thing. This morning however utorrent said there was an update available so i downloaded and installed the new version 1.6.1.Since the upgrade however i keep getting a warning bubble pop up with a yellow triangle saying utorrent.exe - File Corrupt(the file or directory C:\documents and settings..............\Application Data\utorrent is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility)Now ive run the chkdsk utility and it keeps trying to delete a certain file within the utorrent folder called "resume.dat.old", but the problem is it never gets rid of it. So i try to manually delete and it wont allow me to do it. The above bubble only appears currently whilst utorrent is running and downloading/uploading things but still is extremely annoying.I wonder if anyone could possibly help me out on this to try and get rid of this annoying warning. Any help would be extremely appreciated.ThanksStig
Firon
It means you have corruption on your drive. Run chkdsk /R and schedule it to run on reboot.

Firon
It should ask you if you want to do it after a reboot.

headquarters
I have same corrupt file problem and I'm hoping someone can help me with it as Firon was able to help user stiggy_piggy over a year ago. I ran chkdsk /R and scheduled to run on reboot, but that process did not solve the problem for me as it did for user stiggy_piggy. I still have the annoying bubble popping up when using uTorrent. (Note: The chkdsk comment after running refers to 'volume', not sure if that makes any difference.Any help that anyone can provide me with regarding this issue would be greatly appreciated . . . thank you!
