macfall
This just started happening this evening... when I open µTorrent, it doesn't load any of the torrents I already had downloading. I've tried restarting and rebooting; no dice. Any idea why it might be doing this, and how to fix it?
Firon
What do you mean exactly? Do you mean that the torrent list is empty? If so, all you can do is just reload the .torrents. They're stored in %AppData%\uTorrent
macfall
Well, when I reload the .torrents I get a message in the Status field that says Error: The device is not ready.
Firon
Are you trying to store torrents across the network? Or on a removable drive?
macfall
The partial downloads are on a USB hard drive, but the .torrents are on C:/
Firon
Did the drive letter change?
macfall
Um. That may be, but honestly I'm not sure. It's G now, I think it MAY have been E at one time. How do I find out whether that's the problem/how to fix it?
Firon
CLick on a torrent, look at the General tab. You'll see "Save As:" somewhere. If the drive letter is different from the USB drive's current letter, then you need to right click -> advanced -> set download location and tell it the new one.I'm not sure how to make it have a fixed drive letter.
