GOD LIKE
HiI have been trying to set up a small torrent to transfer files on my own LAN. For transfering OS images for restoring of OS.How do I go about it. Have a torrent set up on one PC, I transfered the small info file to the other PC's. However the other PC's never see or start the torrent. Tried to add Peers under the Peers tab, but this does not work. I can Ping the router from all the PC's and Ping all the PC's from the other PC's. I also turned off Windows firewall, still no luck. What step am I missing here?Do I need to use a public tracker? Although I don't see why I would need too. Thanks for any help.
DreadWingKnight
You need to use a tracker that is internal to the network AND you need to NOT specify the IP address in the preferences. You can't rely on DHT for lan transfers. You need to make sure that all systems are connectable within the lan (telnet <ip> <port>)
GOD LIKE
DreadWingKnightThanks for the help, How do I get a internal tracker, and why is it needed? Will Peer Exchange work then? How do specify the IP address in the preference? I didn't use that. I meant the menu towards the bottom of the page, there are 6 tabs, the second one from the left is marked as 'Peers', in the tab if you right click on the screen there is a submenu, where you can add peers, you can type in the IP address of the peer you need to connect to. However this does not seem to work. Although I can't see why not.
