wierd problem

i have download and use the new utorrent but i think tha from then when it is open i can not use the netscape or any other brower or thinks in my pc it like my pc stucks when i turn it of everything back to normal do anyone know why?

but i have and i have not problems until the latest utorrent 1.6.1 and i have this problem only with netscape so far i dont know in future

Bad english, but I understand - check my other post - 1.6.1 kills my network with NOTHING else changed...

@rexdimos: If it's killing at least one application's ability to connect reliably to where it needs to, then you should check the first link in my signature.

COMMON PROCEDURES that you should be sure to have followed, regardless of the problem

- Make 100% sure you read the setup guide properly and in its entirety

- Set your firewall up properly, if applicable (find some settings guides here)

- Select the correct upload speed in the Setup Guide (included in setup guide, but just to be sure)

- Read the entire FAQ

- Search the forums for similar problems, using keywords and such

- Use the newest version of µTorrent (latest beta if there's a public beta testing build available)

Disable IP resolving in the Peers tab

- Try disabling DHT (Can be found in Preferences > BitTorrent)

- Try disabling UPnP (Can be found in Preferences > Connection)

- Try lowering maximum global number of connections to 200? 100? 50? (Can be found in Preferences > BitTorrent)

- Lower net.max_halfopen to 4 (Can be found in Preferences > Advanced)

- Patched TCPIP.sys and restarted computer after patching? (Assumes you are using Windows XP/SP2)

- Connect your computer directly to the modem to make sure the problem is not caused by the router

- Restart your computer, modem, and router after performing any of the above

@ultima above are your suggetions and they are perfectly correct until maybe now because i folllow these sugetions to the letter so i havent got any problems until these new version maybe this vwrsion affects specialy some aplications i say maybe not sure and i must confess that it is a perfect version of utorrent at least for me but matbe we must do some adjustments other than the usual or we must use other broswer?

Between beta build 483 and stable 490, there haven't been very many changes, and nothing drastic enough that would affect specific applications... Try clearing the settings and reconfiguring everything (that means you should also try removing your port forwarding and firewall rules if applicable).

I have seen this problem more times than ANY other problem during upgrade - when you do a simple upgrade to a new version the very high tendency is to KILL overall network performance WITH NOTHING ELSE CHANGED. Nobody (including mods) will help you so I suggest you switch clients...

@Ultima as you said earlier i am experinced user of utorrent i would not ask for help if havent try everything so i have made this reconfigurations the only brower that seems to be working is opera but despite the problems i must say that this version of utorrent so far is excellent

I would recommend going back to 1.6 (or the 1.6.1 beta which seemed to be ok).

I'm willing to bet all your problems will go away - try it and report back here.

@rexdimos: Are you using any firewall? What is your net.max_halfopen currently set to, and what is the TCPIP.sys limit set to?

and tried 20(ok download and upload but the problem remains)so i use the default

number(8) firewall ther than windows no only kaspersky antivirus runs at pc

Just for clarification, when you said this, did you mean that you deleted settings.dat and settings.dat.old from %appdata%\uTorrent and reconfigured?

I'll say it again....it's Kaspersky AV, only way to fix it is to change your antivirus software. Otherwise its either browse the web or download torrents...not both.
