BanditSnatcher
First of all, I'm running uTorrent 1.5 ( I have downloaded newer versions and get the same thing.)I went out and bought a new pc with Vista. I did all the port forwarding and firewall things that I did to get a green light with Windows XP. I searched the forums and tried every lil' tip/hint/solution and have came up with nothing. My problem is when I use the uTorrent port checker in the speed guide and it says the port is not open and displays an entire different ip address than what is listed in ipconfig. Actually when I use different web based ipfinders it gives me the same ip address that is used in uTorrent's checker 70.xxx.xxx.xxx, but through IPConfig and my router my ip address is 192.168.x.xxx. I believe this is causing a problem with my speed and red light problem. Someone please help me fix this.
Feathers
Yes - many people seem to be experiencing the same thing. If anyone does have a work around / fix, it would be most appreciated. I can't get full speed - it's almost worth going back to XP Pro. For some reason though, it doesn't appear to be effecting everyone. I know a few users that reportedly have green ticks and incoming connections just fine. I'm begining to wonder if it's to do with some routers not being Vista compatible.
E-Monster
I dunno. I haven't gotten the green tick since I upgraded to 1.6.1 the other day. I'm running on Windows XP SP2 with the same setting I used when things were fine (ie port forwards, firewalls). I'm thinking this isn't just a Vista problem. Am I missing something? Feathers
Well, for one, I know that since upgrading to Vista, I can no longer log into my router (using 192.168.X.X) which means that I can't even check the ports properly.I did read somewhere that one user simply changed the port that they were using and had instant success. The original port was being occupied by something unknown. But the end result was a properly working UT.As I can't even log in to the router at the moment, this isn't even an option for me.Cheers.
