landonsg
Hi all. Sorry for the newbie question, but that's what I am. I recently downloaded with utorrent. The first time went without a hitch. I was able to decode with WinRar and recovered the files just fine. The next torrent I ran I ended up with .rar files that WinRar will not process, it advises that they are corrupt. That's cool, it happens, I know and I'll go through the process again. My concern is that I noticed that while I am running utorrent, it shows that same torrent as seeding normally. Am I possibly contributing to corrupt files down the line? I suspect that the problem is that I don't actually understand the process yet, but I'd rather ask you all to educate me than be responsible for countless other users receiving corrupt files because I didn't handle my end of the bargain!Thank you in advance and thank the people responsible for utorrent, it appears to be a fine tool.landonsg
Ultima
Stop the torrent and force a recheck just to be sure. If it comes through as 100%, then chances are, the file was already corrupt by the time the original seeder created the torrent.
