Firon
Do you have a firewall? Sometimes firewall can cause this. When a program updates itself, the firewall will decide to block it, and the only way to fix it is to remove and re-add the firewall rules for µT. ddasilva99
Thank you for your post. It is not the firewall because it is disabled in XP and I tried changing ports and adding the new port to the router and same results
Ultima
What firewall are you using? If it's not a firewall issue, then it's most likely a Rogers issue -- others have reported similar issues before, and it was because of Rogers (and the only solution for that would be to switch ISPs). ddasilva99
Is rogers the culprit in this case as well or the new version of uTorrent
Ultima
I'm leaning toward it being a Rogers issue, but just to be sure, try another BitTorrent client. If you can't seem to connect to trackers, then it's definitely a Rogers issue.
Firon
Rogers has been known to block tracker connections before.Still, try enabling the Windows firewall and remove/re-add rules for µTorrent. You've got nothing to lose.
