stevenofnine Posted February 20, 2007 Report Share Posted February 20, 2007 You want to set your upload to 80% of your maximum capacity.Real world maximum and your ISP's stated max can be really different.If you're in the US, go to Speakeasy.net/speedtest and, with nothing else running internet protocols, run the speedtest a few times. Get a good average for the UPLOAD speed it gives you. Preferably check it out at morning, afternoon and evening, when speeds vary wildly.Take the average upload and multiply by .8 That's your setting for max upload.
