wanderer76
I am currently doing a month free trial with shaw internet after some issues (service wise) with telus. After the shaw modem has been installed my download rate is pretty much half of what it was with telus. The speed test confirms that the shaw connection speed is DL 5MB UL .5Mb vs telus which is about DL 1.8MB UL 187kbs. So I just don't understand why the speed for downloads isn't substantially increased. My upload rate on utorrent has increased but like I said before the download rate is about half. How can i possibly fix this??
Ultima
Shaw has been known to throttle BitTorrent, IINM :\http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/index.htmlTry a torrent from here -- how does it run? Have you tried enabling Protocol Encryption, or even forcing it and disabling legacy incoming connections?
ljubo666
Just use encription (Enabled) and allow incoming legacy connection and no more throttling from shaw... if you find good private tracker where you can find people with nice upload speeds, you can easily maxoutyour download, I know... I can do it with shaw extreme (10MBit down/1 MBit up)
