rfox287
yes port forwording increases dl speed considerably to do this acess your router via internet depending on different routers and open your bittorrent find out what port it is using and type that port number into your routers port forwording section

Switeck
Let me put it like this:If nobody port forwarded, then quite likely most torrents would die instantly. nobody could download or upload to anyone else.If you have a router, you'll need to do port forwarding (or UPnP/DMZ though I don't recommend either!)...or you're guarenteed firewalled.Being Firewalled means you cannot download or upload to other firewalled seeds or peers....and probably 50+% of everyone are firewalled.
