Trix
they used to release the -dev builds, what happened to those?
Keloran
trix that question has been answerdbeta/dev releases dont happen anymore becasue someone leaked it (even though ludde said "dont post these anywhere")and so now beta/dev releases are only given to a select group
Ultima
They were still being released, but in the IRC channel. Now that someone "leaked" one of the testing versions, the devs decided to tighten their grips so that only certain people can test. Those builds are essentially the -dev builds (and are released often like the devs said they would be).Edit: Meh, Keloran got to it before me =P
Anime Janai
uTorrent 1.1.8 seems to be in use by a number of SHAW cable users over at BoxTorrents.Ironically, they uTorrent 1.1.8 users are ALL superleechers with Ratio in the 0.0X range so far.... Darrian
Just out of curiosity, for those of you who are testing 1.1.8, I'm curious how the changing of the app icon will be implemented. What do you have to do to change it?
Keloran
you put main.ico = mini-icon (the one in the top left/right of window)tray.ico = the one in hte tray (if you have those options turned on)either in the same folder as program, or in %appdata%\uTorrent
Trix
I was revering to the -dev releases http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=141Why not do that again. Why not let a broader more open user base test these latest builds he did indeed say publically:"We are now more frequently releasing development builds (marked with the -dev suffix) as we work our way to our milestones. These are equivalent to beta builds and may not always work -- but do work most of the time. Please keep a working version as backup."
Keloran
already been discussed use search, seriouslly the decision has been forced (in a sense) to only use a select group
