hmiller
When I disconnect the router and plug the laptop directly to the dsl modem, utor's port is forwarded properly. When I run the laptop through the router, the port is not forwarded. Any ideas? Has anybody else had this problem?Linksys BEFSR41 v4.1. I checked the port forwarding through uTorrent, and then went through the setup directions (from portforward.com) exaclty. Twice even. Darn thing won't forward the port, and my upload speeds are pretty poor. Of course my isp appears to limit uploads to 30kB/s anyway...Thanks in advance.Howard
Ultima
Did you set a static IP up for your computer outside of the BEFSR41's DHCP range (which should be 192.168.1.100-182.168.1.150 by default, IINM), then forwarded to that IP? Linksys routers don't forward ports to IPs within the DHCP range because it's logical behavior -- forwarding ports to a dynamic IP is like trying to shoot a duck with a gun that can only be aimed at a fixed position. hmiller
I couldn't find what the DHCP range is, but the ip is outside the range you mentioned. And I did set up the port forwarding to go to that ip. I turned off uPnp in UTorr, and am using a non-randomized port.Howard
