moot
Hello, I'm using an unorthodox firewall for the moment, and I'm just curious which source ports utorrent uses for outbound connections. Is it just the specified port? Do you need UDP outbound if you're not using DHT?
5parky
outbound connections use the next free port and go up one (unless another app uses it first) port with each new outbound connection.not sure about the UDP
Switeck
You don't need UDP if you don't use (and DISABLE) DHT.µTorrent uses the ephemeral ports for making outbound connections. It *CAN* be bound to a single outbound port, though that may cause unwanted problems.

moot
I can't seem to assign an "any" outgoing source port rule, so I might as well try binding it to a single outbound source port. How would I go about doing that?I think I found it.. net.outgoing_port, by chance?
