BMXICAN Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 OK, so I'm semi-new to this torrent stuff and I'm just getting the hang of it. UTorrent has a little logo on the bottom towards the right that can either be green, yellow or red. It tells you your connection status.Mine is red and my torrents are uploading slow and downloading slow. I changed to random ports many times but it hasn't helped. I know my firewall isn't messing with it because I've turned it off and it dosen't help either. Any tips? Thanks. =D
BMXICAN Posted March 8, 2007 Author Report Posted March 8, 2007 Anyone know what I can do to get it green? Anyone? I've read the FAQ's both here and on the site with no luck. Please help....

BMXICAN Posted March 9, 2007 Author Report Posted March 9, 2007 I've read all that and still don't understand. Sorry, I'm kind of new to this. All I want is to be able to seed my torrents, but it's so slow. I know I have a fast internet connection, I just can't figure out this port stuff.
µtorrent-Guest Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 so what part is it that you don't understand then?
BMXICAN Posted March 9, 2007 Author Report Posted March 9, 2007 Well, I keep switching ports, but the Icon is still red. How do I get it green?
µtorrent-Guest Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 by reading the guides!the guides CLEARLY state to get a static IP and forward a port to that IP.randomly switching ports is contraproductive if your router can't handle µT's UPnP feature.
BMXICAN Posted March 10, 2007 Author Report Posted March 10, 2007 Well fuck, sorry I'm new to this and don´t really understand the concept or the jargon. Thanks for the help...
