bonzar Posted March 15, 2007 Report Share Posted March 15, 2007 I've setup a static ip using the portforward guide as well as forwarding a port. The problem is because I use Dsl (with PPPoE) it says the port isnt forwarded but through another IP (142. ..). I have a D-Link DI-604 and I've tried using the static PPPoE IP setting entering the static IP i setup but it then says it's connected through that other IP. I've also tried changing the IP in the report to tracker setting in Bittorrent but that hasnt worked. How do I get Utorrent to use the static Ip I've setup? DreadWingKnight Posted March 15, 2007 Report Share Posted March 15, 2007 Since the router should be the device providing the PPPoE (not your computer), you should ONLY be port forwarding in the router. Once that is set up, there is nothing special you need to do in order to get uT to use the address.Anything that needs your public IP gets it when you connect to it.
