Port Forwarding??

I can't find if your model as a router or not. In fact from the online documentation it calls it a cable modem/internet phone adapter. I suspect your ISP (whatever it is) is the one giving you a private IP address that is acting as a router, and therefore you can not port forward through them. If you are not using a private IP, your ISP may be blocking/filtering torrent traffic. If you haven't already, you might also want to go through the Setup Guide.

If you want more help, please give us more information on your setup from your computer to wall outlet (and every device in between). What version of windows you're running. Any firewall, QoS programs, etc. that might affect internet traffic. What your ISP is. And anything else you think might be helpful.

Also, going through the Guides and FAQ pages is highly recommended.

Three things.

1) Firefox is a web browser, it is not an ISP (Internet Service Provider) which is who you pay each month for your internet access (telco, cable, etc.)

2) Make sure your firewall has an exception for use with uTorrent. If it doens't or if it is inspecting each and every packet that uTorrent is transfering, that could be causing the slow down. Make sure it covers TCP and UDP packets.

3) You might be having problems due to having Vista. I don't have experience with that OS, so you might want to search on this forum for other users who have found fixes for using uTorrent with Vista.
