Switeck Posted March 18, 2007 Report Share Posted March 18, 2007 Quite a few software firewalls have to be specially configured in their advanced (often hidden!) settings to work correctly with µTorrent. Some don't even then...so your only option can be a complete uninstall of the firewall software because "disabling" the software firewall doesn't remove its corrupting influences.If you DO remove a 3rd party software firewall, it is IMPERATIVE to keep your computer firewalled besides the forwarded ports needed for µTorrent, games, and similar applications. Typically a router alone that only forwards the minimal number of ports is sufficient. However Windows XP SP2's software firewall can do a decent job as well if you configure it correctly. I think it is caused by a windows update thingy. But i got rid of my problem by patched tcpip sys which is on http://www.lvllord.de/Now my half open connection limit in windows is 50 and my torrents dont get red .Pls let me know if you also try.
