I have a dsl modem HUAWEI MT800. I can't get any incoming connections and when i try to access my external ip adress in internet explorer it redirects me to 192.168.1.1 wich is the adress where i have to authentificate and configure the modem.

Maybe I should configure it somehow else.

Please help.

Sorry for my English.

It's not the software firewall.

I guess my ISP has a router, but I think it should be the modem because the connection stops at him - when it redirects me to the configuration web interface.

I tryed to configure the NAT, nut there were no results. Does anyone have the same problem ? I mean i can't conneect to myself with the external IP adress...

I didn't want to get to them but... if that's the only way. Anyway THANKS :)

It's just that I am on a network and a computer with freebsd is connected to the net and we use it as a gateway. I suspected that this would be because of it, but because the connections stops at the modem then I should pay the ISP guys a visit.

  • 1 year later...

I have the same modem which was given by BSNL (India).. by default no ports are blocked in the Modem Configuration.. Try doing a modem reset and check.

And you must configure your router for Port Forwarding..

Go to this website http://www.portforward.com/english/applications/port_forwarding/Utor/Utorindex.htm and select your router or

go directly to http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Huawei/SmartAX-MT880/Utorrent.htm
