Netgear DG834GT issues - Ports not actually opening

Im with skybroadband with their bastardised Netgear router and i open ports that utorrent uses, inbound and outbound and i do the test utorrent provides and it always says ERORR - this port etc..

Ive been through the portfoward.com guide many times and it hasnt changed my situation.

Downloading very slow

ANyone else in the same position? Or even better found a solution...

Did you check to see if your modem also needed port forwarding or a firewall disabled?
