Forwarding/router troubles.

Okay, I followed portforwarding.com's tutorials to a T but I am still having troubles. I am a complete novice when it comes to router troubles so please bear with me.

First off, Netgear is my router. I found my static IP fairly easily, but I got the error "Server IP address must be a LAN IP address" when I tried to configure the router. What exactly is that and is there something I can do about it?

So naturally my port is not forwarding. I'm hoping an answer to that might help me somewhat, though I'm sure to get more problems because I don't know what I'm doing, lol. Hopefully I can get help from someone with Netgear.
